Bottletop @ Jony Ive and Marc Newson's (RED) Auction

As a proud partner organisation to the (RED) foundation, Bottletop were invited to Jony Ive and Marc Newson’s (RED) Auction at Sotheby’s in New York.

In association with (RED) and partner organisations, Jony and Marc’s auction raised $26 million in one night; the sales exceeded all expectations with 44 items especially created for the auction going under the hammer and raising a total of more than $13 million, which was generously matched dollar-for-dollar by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. All proceeds went to the Global Fund to fight AIDS. Leading the auction were the Steinway & Sons Unique "Red Pops for (RED)" Parlor Grand Model A Piano, which raised $1.9 million, the Leica Digital Rangefinder Camera, The Leica M for (RED), which raised $1.8 million and the unique aluminum desk produced by Neal Feay Studio, which sold for $1.7 million.

See below for a couple of our own snaps from this incredible event.
