Our fist project partner in Brazil, Viva a Vida, provides therapeutic support for adolescent boys, mostly living on the streets, who are addicted to crack and other drugs. They also provide educational intervention so that the boys can understand and address their addiction as well as gain the skills to enable them to build productive lives once they leave the program.
With support from the Bottletop Foundation Viva a Vida began its “Valuing Life” Prevention Project in Schools.
After one year of the prevention project and multiple workshops, they reached 773 students across subjects ranging from drug abuse and the health risks to contraception, body changes, decision making and myths around HIV/AIDS.
